Print Is Dead. Long Live Print: The World’s Best Independent Magazines

This is the first source I found which relates to my topic. This book includes 50 examples or innovative magazines from around the world. The book divides the magazines into genres, including art and culture, travel, sports, and style. This is a nice way to break down genres and how maybe certain styles of magazines died out first. It also tells me which kind of magazines are making the move back up the ladder.

Fully Booked – Ink on PaperDesign and Concepts for New Publications

This book talks about binding and how books and magazines can give the reader a personal attraction. It talks about how modern books presented on iPads and monitors have no personality. It talks about the workmanship and techniques involved in magazines and how that should still be alive.

Print Is Dead: Books in Our Digital Age

This book talks more about the future and how journalists and writers will have to adapt to the rise of digital media. It has a chapter called Will books disappear? I think this would be interesting as it will sum up the pros and cons and conclude wether we will have books or magazines in the future.
